July 2005: Signed a strategic alliance between Tharwa and Malaysian company PETRONAS.
July 2005: Signed a strategic alliance between Tharwa and Schlumberger to cooperate in the field of Integrated Services.
September 2005: Establishment of Sino Tharwa Drilling Company.
June 2006: Start up drilling operations in Thekah Concession in the Mediterranean Sea.
July 2006: Achieved the first gas discovery from Thekah Concession in the Mediterranean Sea.
April 2007: Establishment of Egyptian Petroleum HH Rig manufacturing Co.
April 2007: Awarded East Abu Sennan Concession in the Western Desert.(yet to be approved by the military).
September 2007: Signed El Arish Offshore Concession in the Mediterranean Sea.
February 2008: Establishment of Tharwa Breda Petroleum Services Company for manufacturing wellheads, X-mass trees.
January 2009: Started first gas production from Thekah concession with daily rate 100 million standard cubic feet of gas / day.
April 2009: Awarded West Esh El-Mallaha North and East extensions in Eastern Desert.
January 2010: Started drilling operations in WEEME concession (Well: WEEME- A-1).
February 2010: Started first oil production from WEEME extension Concession with initial production rate of 1300 Bopd.
November 2010: For the first time, Tharwa was qualified by the Syrian Ministry of Petroleum in the bidder list for the current and upcoming international bids rounds.
January 2011: Successful drilling results for Siwa-D-1X I Siwa concession (50% Apache, 50% Tharwa), showing potential in 4 zones, and tested in Safa & AEB-5 with total production of 4500 BOPD.
